Clicking on left/right half of the window for prev/next page was a bit strange at first but turns out great once you get used to it since you don’t have to aim for little buttons like in most apps. Instead, you just have to throw the mouse to the left or right. You can focus on the comic, not on the interface.
little thing to report:
In the Help file, “Command Shift L Toggle the page list” is still there, and as you know, the Page List Drawer has been removed in 1.4.
Speaking of that, may I ask why the Drawer was removed?
It was actually fairly useful.
Though the new session progress bar is nice, in my opinion, the drawer was better.
1) It allowed you to see many pages at the same time instead of just one at a time in the progress bar.
2) You can see the pages without having to put your mouse over it and “scrub” horizontally. (and also, it’s hard for a human hand to move in a perfectly straight, horizontal line)
The only bad thing about the drawer is that it does not compensate if the drawer goes past the screen edges. (unlike Path Finder’s window drawers, for example)
I hope you’ll bring back the Drawer in a later release. Drawers/sidebars are a concept in apps that most people are familiar and comfortable with.
Thanks for your time! And thanks for the great app!
Good to hear that you like it.
About the page list removal…
I was trying to pare back the interface with this release and may have gone too far. The page list drawer will probably be back in the next release. That or some sort of page exposé if I can figure out how to implement it.
